Default Alternate Armor Infusion Question

I'm new here, I did use the search function, and I apologize if this is answered already.

Question: Assume that I have been infused with armor that I have configured for sword. Now I decide to switch to axe. I craft two new armor pieces, one with a superior axe rune and a helmet of axe mastery. I go on the infusion run with the axe armor. So, all my armor pieces now say "Infused" including the axe armor I'm wearing and the sword armor pieces in storage.

Now, I decide to switch back to sword taking the sword armor pieces out of storage and putting them on, and putting the axe armor pieces back into storage. Am I still infused? All of the armor pieces say "Infused," but do I need to do the Infusion run again if infusion now applies to your armor as a whole and not one armor piece at a time?

Again, I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere.

Infusion is permanent. It doesn't matter if you change out your armour or not. Just like adding a rune, once it's done it's permanently applied.

Yes - each individual piece is infused, not the entire set. So you can switch out infused pieces as much as you want.

Also you can apply new runes to your infused armour, or dye it green, and it will remain infused.

No, all of your armor must be infused.

And yes your armor will be infused no matter if you dye it, un equip it, move it around storage... etc.

the onyl way it wont be is if it happens to get salvaged......

wrong, one piece of infused armor will make you take more damage from special agony. 5 pieces of infused armor will let you take the minimum amount of damage for special agony.

edit: mistress beat me to it

You can run with 1,2,3,4 or 5 pieces infused, but with each piece that is not infused you take a bit more damage from Spectral Agony
